Terms of use
These terms would govern use of the Rooteat storefront and any purchase made through it. They are a pre-launch draft.
1. This site is a prototype
The current Rooteat site is a non-operational preview used to validate the product and storefront. No order, payment, shipment or subscription can be completed, and nothing on the site is an offer for sale.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law to place an order. By using the site you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.
3. The product
Rooteat is intended to be a food product, not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and no medical or health benefit is claimed. The recipe, serving size, allergen information, batch details, manufacturer details and expiry will be printed on the final label after formulation and regulatory review.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, managing a medical condition or taking medication, speak to a qualified healthcare professional before adding any herbal preparation to your routine. Do not use the site as a substitute for medical advice.
4. Orders and pricing
- All prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes where stated.
- Payment is prepaid only; cash on delivery is not offered.
- An order is confirmed only after payment is verified. Prices, pack sizes and offers may change before launch and will be shown clearly at checkout.
- We may cancel an order and refund it in full if the item is unavailable, the price was displayed in error, or we suspect fraud.
5. Shipping
Delivery timelines, charges and serviceable pincodes are described on the shipping and returns page. Timelines are estimates and can be affected by courier delays, weather, strikes or incorrect addresses.
6. Cancellation and returns
Because this is a consumable food product, cancellation is possible only before dispatch. Returns are accepted for damaged, defective or incorrectly delivered items, with photo or video proof, within the window stated on the shipping and returns page.
7. Intellectual property
The Rooteat name, logo, copy, illustrations and page design are owned by the business or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without written permission.
8. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, scrape at scale, reverse engineer, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, its APIs or other customers' data. We may block access and report unlawful activity.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the business is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law, including liability for a product that is unsafe or not as described.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [city, state] would have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer forum rights you have.
